Google’s Adsense can be used to build a great source of revenue. With an investment of time in learning the system, anyone can use Adsense to generate additional revenue. These three simple tips can help put you on the path to profitability more quickly.
1. Managing an adsense account is best done by the site owner. Many site operators will simply build a site, establish an account and turn responsibility over to someone outside the organization. Time considerations in managing the system are important, but the owner and operator should remain closely involved to ensure success. Information an lessons learned should be kept ‘in house.’ Owners need to learn from mistakes and successes. One of the most frequently asked SEO questions surrounds the level of effort required to get a good placement on the search engines. Or put differently, the question is “how long until my site appears as a result?” Depending on the competitive environment and the strength of those sites with which yours competes, the answer could range from a couple of weeks to many months. The stronger the competition for your preferred keywords or topics, the greater the effort required to compete – as well as the longer time to expect improved placement. Business Blog Success requires a great deal of time and effort and there are no quick ways to get your site to the top of Google. But… if it were easy, everyone would be doing it.
Frequently, search engines will recognize a particular page or post as being useful and will rank it more highly than others for particular user searches. Some studies have shown that up to 80% of Google search requests use combinations of words that appear one or two times per year. As there are an infinite number of search queries, it is important then to be as clear as possible about the content.
A blog page – even an old one – can appear as a result. This usually indicates that the page title and text work well together to allow the search engines to understand exactly what the page is about. Authors constructing blog posts then work with this in mind to create a useful post that search engines will understand.
So what are the most important ‘keys’ to business blog success? Here are three (but not the only three) major considerations for improving the placement of pages contained in your business blog:
- Frequency of updates
- Page volume
- Page construction
Posting Frequency
Posting new material daily is an excellent way to build some diversity of content. Over time, you will amass quite a library of articles, statements and statistics. The volume of content is important, so over time, you will build page strength through frequent, regular updates. Search engines can then recognize your blog page for unique individual page content as well as overall page volume. Even older posts may have value to someone in the search world and when the keywords and user search parameters come to that glorious joining on a search engine, your site will be displayed and a visitor won.
Another way to think of this is after one year, you should have some 365 sets of unique and diverse content on your blog. That is a good thing to have. The downside is that it takes a year to assemble this much information and text. It is of course possible to post more material, but coming up with new, creative and original content is a must.
Post new material daily if possible and then tell users and friends about the content either via Twitter or by blogging other sites. It is one thing to create useful content, but it may go for little if you don’t invite folks to read it.
Page Volume
As touched on above, search engines seem to like sites with a great deal of volume. Page volume built up over time offers search engines a lot to index. Steadily increasing page volume also says to the search engines that yours is a serious page worthy of returning on search requests. This speaks again to the need for daily posting. After one year of hard work, you will have a treasure trove of material available to readers for searching. Presuming you have 365 pieces posted during the year that is 365 separate invitations to search engines and readers to visit your site.
Page Construction
Including keywords within the body of text as well as in the headers and titles of your written pieces is also important. Helping the search engines understand what your article is about will help your page become ranked.
There are two considerations or objectives in page construction:
- Develop a strong page rank for that article, and
- Improve page rank for your site
Titling your article precisely and then using the same title phrase within the body of text ads strength to the page. Search engine robots can be reasonably assured as to the content of each page. So utilize the wording in your title a couple times throughout your post. Using without over-using your site keywords within your blog can add to the strength and page rank of the overall site.
In getting back to the original question – that of how long it takes for business blog success – there is no clear answer except to set a strategy and stick with it. Creating fresh material on a daily basis is certainly difficult, but the advantages provided after a period of time will allow you to compete for placement on many search results.
Most business blog disappear after the site owner runs out of content ideas. The more creative and prolific you can be in your blogging, the better results you can expect – whether two weeks or six months out.

Before a prospective on-ine customer becomes a paying customer, he first must be a viewer of your site. So how does he get to your site?
Of course the standard SEO and SEM strategies help, but perhaps the most significant thing you can do to attract viewers is to make your site visually and textually useful – with a great deal of content. If you can add to your content on a daily basis, before too long, you have a very rich site that customers will be more likely to find.
Some time ago, I wrote a piece on some general history and stories of conflict and tied that into the current business climate. In the course of the piece I made a very obscure reference to the Falklands War of 1982 – I don’t even remember why. For some odd reason, I started getting hits from people looking for information on the Falklands War! I quickly reworked the article to make it more meanigful to history buffs and managed to hang on to a good bit of traffic.
In another instance, I had made a reference in an article to a Supreme Court nominee, using the word “Supremes.” For whatever reason, a fan site for Diana Ross – one of the original ‘Supremes’ found the piece by accident and set a link over to me. They found the piece interesting enough and sent hundreds of viewers over.
Despite the best SEO and SEM strategies, there will always be opportunities you uncover – but only if you put out vauable content on a regular basis.
So… here are a couple suggestions for making your business blog more attractive to prospective new ‘viewers.’
- Write every day
- Make the content as useful as possible
- Make it rich in content without being too wordy or repetitive based on your keyword phrases
- Evaluate using your set of page tools – where users are finding out about your site. Expand to these niches where possible.

Read, Help, Inform
Remember these three principles. What is your business about? Who is your target market?

You can also focus on hotel management or the restaurateurs, even funeral homes and services. You can write articles that will go like, how to improve your hotel’s business with flowers. 1. Short paragraphs
Your articles must be written for easy reading. You must understand that the people who will search the web for information don’t really have much time. The web will provide them with a lot, if not better choices for the subject that they are researching about.
2. Article submission sites
You must first join in the forums regarding this matter to get a feedback of your chosen sites. You must check the sites’ Google ranking and their ranking in Alexa. You must choose the ones that rank high and has a high volume of traffic.
3. Word count
Upon knowing to which sites you are going to submit your articles, you can go over their rules about the word count and abide by it. There are sites that will accept a minimum of 300 word count for articles. Others will ask for a 500 or more minimum word count. You have to check and make sure to make sure that your materials will not get rejected.
And lastly, in do not forget to fill out the author’s bio box. This is your space to create a link to your own web site. This is how you earn your keep in submitting articles. Include you name, your business name, the call to action and the link to your site.
